Work with your Simplicate documents the way you work with any file
- Every document of Simplicate appears as a file in Windows Explorer, in a folder per company and per kind of document.
- No disk space is used until you open a file; a folder with ten thousand invoices takes none.
- Open a file in Word, Excel, your PDF reader or any other program, print it, or drag it into an email.
- Search by name in Explorer across every Simplicate company at once.
- Documents stay in Simplicate; your rights there are your rights in Explorer, and every fetch is an ordinary Simplicate request.
- The Simplicate folders are read-only, so nothing is changed or deleted by accident.

How Invantive Drive works
Install Invantive Drive on Windows and sign in with your Invantive Cloud account. A folder named Invantive Drive appears in Explorer with one folder per app, so Simplicate becomes a folder with a subfolder per company and per kind of document. Explorer lists the names, dates and sizes; the content of a document is fetched from Simplicate the moment you open it, and leaves no copy behind unless you choose to keep it offline. A cloud icon marks a file that is online only, a green check mark one that is kept on this device.
Where your Simplicate documents stay
In Simplicate. Invantive Drive shows them and does not copy or move them. You sign in with your own Simplicate account and see the companies and documents you may see there. Only a file you open is fetched, and only a file you change is sent back, and only to an app that accepts uploads. Every fetch counts as a normal request to Simplicate, visible per connection in the Invantive Drive window.
Not on Windows?
The file browser in Invantive Cloud shows the same Simplicate folders and files in your web browser, on a Mac, a tablet or a shared PC: browse, preview and download. Adding and renaming files from the browser is on its way.
